Why Your Sense of Purpose Will Catch Up to You Sooner or Later

What are you really here for? Do you have a sense of purpose – your reason for being here on this earth, in this life, at this time? Have you found your true “calling?”

If you have, then you’re in the minority of people I’ve come across who’ve got a clear sense of who they really are, why they’re really here, and what they’re really made of.

Let’s face it, we are all searching for something whether we are aware of it or not. Deep down we all want to be loved and we all want to feel like we are enough just as we are. Unfortunately, our culture doesn’t give us much acknowledgement for “being” us.

We’ve basically been conditioned to believe that we’ve got to “do” stuff or “know” stuff to be lovable and worthy.

Because of this, so many people go about their lives striving to fill the inner void created by the partial or sometimes total disconnection to their true self. They create a life of endless distractions based on the illusion that by making more money, or accumulating more material stuff, or finding the right partner they will finally feel “better.”

Now there’s certainly nothing wrong with having cool stuff or lots of money, but as the age of materialism comes to an end, and as we enter into the age of “sustainism,” we’re finding out more and more that no matter how much stuff we “get” in life, we’re only truly fulfilled in the long-term by what we “give” to others.

I believe that we all have a “calling,” a unique reason for being that is constantly seeking us out.

After working with thousands of people over the years, I’ve seen too many synchronistic and seemingly magical “happenings” to have any doubt that if even the tiniest part of your being wants to know your calling, then it will catch up to you sooner or later.

The key is getting out of your own way, which means awakening to a depth of your own being that transcends your cognitive mind and ego-self. That transcendent consciousness carries a knowing, freedom, and lightness that radiates through your being out into the world.

Just by tapping into it your calling, it is set into motion, and you’re thrust into inspired action in the world.

You’ll never “figure out” what your calling is. But more frequently accessing and sustaining awakened consciousness states can help it catch up to you sooner.
