Radiculopathy is the result of an impingement of a nerve at or near the nerve’s root (the point where the nerve branches off of the spinal cord and exits the spinal column.) Radiculopathy is not so much of a specific condition as it is a description of a situation in which one or more nerves are irritated or under tension. Symptoms can including weakness, numbness, or difficulty controlling specific muscles.
